Al-Khanza Water Treatment Facility Opens Spc. Rebecca Schwab - Monday, 22 February 2010Over 200,000 citizens of the Al-Khanza District of Baghdad now have access to clean drinking water, thanks to the opening of a new water treatment facility. Soldiers from the 2nd Battalion, 14th Infantry Regiment, have been in place to oversee the project, which began in May 2009. Now that it's complete, full responsibility for the security and maintenance of the facility is in the hands of the Iraqi government.
2nd Brigade Combat Team Transfers Authority of Joint Security Station 799 TTuesday, 16 February 2010This newscast includes the following stories: The 2nd Battalion, 14th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team has transferred authority of Joint Security Station 799 to the Iraqi government. The 1st Division Iraqi Federal Police will now conduct operations from this location. This is the first of many transfers 2nd Brigade will make in the coming months.
